238 BAPTISED IN A DAY,
WITNESSED BY OVER 1,000 MEMBERS AND FRIENDS

On the 13 June 2009, at 3.00pm, over 1000 persons gathered under the coloured flags of their Regions at the East Coast Park (near Carpark F2), to witness the water baptism of 238 VFC members. Spirits were flying high that afternoon.
     The people listened intently as one by one the baptism candidates shared their stories of salvation and declared their intention to follow Christ. After the water baptism, most stayed back to enjoy the sun, surf and sea. Some came prepared with picnic baskets, beach balls or kites while others just sat around to talk and pass the breezy afternoon away.
